Sponsor Direct Releases SponsorPort 2.0 -- The Most Comprehensive Sponsorship Management Solution in the Industry
NEW YORK, NY, June 1, 2005 - Sponsor Direct®, a full-service sponsorship solutions company offering Web-based software to improve all aspects of sponsorship management, recently unveiled SponsorPort 2.0, the most comprehensive sponsorship management solution in the industry. The presentation took place in May at the company's Spring Sponsorship Technology Conference at the Rockefeller Estate in Tarrytown, New York.
"SponsorPort 2.0 was designed to give sponsorship professionals the tools to capture, track, and measure all activity related to managing successful sponsorship programs," says Mark Rockefeller, founder and CEO of Sponsor Direct. "It is a very flexible Web-based platform that can accommodate any particular methodology a corporate sponsor or its agency uses."
Sponsor Direct has also announced that Bank of America, Chevron Corporation, and Nestlé Waters North America are among the first to migrate to SponsorPort 2.0 by adding Sponsor Direct's portfolio management tools to their existing proposal management systems. The Portfolio Manager creates a centralized database of all sponsorship investments and provides easy access to a global picture of all the company's sponsorship activity.
Cathleen Cummings, VP Sports and Sponsorship Marketing for Bank of America, says, "We wanted to remain a leader in the industry by adopting Web-based tools and solutions. We don't want to look back in five years to realize we missed a competitive advantage. Sponsor Direct is currently layering in our proprietary screening and evaluation methodology into our SponsorPort 2.0 solution."
With the implementation of SponsorPort 2.0 a corporate sponsor will leverage a unique combination of best practices and essential infrastructure in navigating through and managing sponsorship opportunities. The new package is comprehensive in that it facilitates not only front-end proposal management, but also follows through with back-end sponsorship portfolio management to measure and evaluate cost-benefit analyses and ROI.
For the first time, senior management and sponsorship professionals will be empowered to capture and review all information about a specific sponsorship from their desktop. SponsorPort 2.0 provides the infrastructure needed to centralize and manage all active sponsorships and investments for a company. The system includes an automated evaluation and scoring system, a leverage and activation tracking system, and a measurement module, among other things. Reviewers can edit information from their own desktop keeping all data current and easily accessible. The entire system is highly flexible and can serve any particular evaluation and measurement methodology a company or its agency uses.
Jodie Adolfson, Senior Presence Marketing Manager for Nestlé Waters North America, says, "We needed to streamline how we handle sponsorship, product placement, and product donation requests and SponsorPort was the only system that could take care of all of our needs. We are also looking forward to rolling out SponsorPort 2.0's portfolio management tools to help us coordinate, track, and measure our national sponsorship programs across all of our brands and divisions."
Sponsor Direct, is the only company that has a comprehensive approach to help corporations manage the entire sponsorship life cycle.
